Oct. 4: Recycle Gas-Powered Lawn Equipment at Recycling Extravaganza
Falls Church residents can drop off gas-powered lawn equipment for recycling at the annual Recycling Extravaganza.
When: Saturday, October 4, 2025 | 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 217 Gordon Road
IMPORTANT: All lawn equipment dropped off for recycling must be drained of fuel and oil, which can also be recycled at the Recycling Extravaganza’s household hazardous waste area.

• Commercial-grade lawn mowers
• Ride-on mowers

Oct. 6: Getting Off Fossil Fuels at Home, 7pm Webinar
Volunteer "electrification coaches" will help demystify the puzzle of home electrification through a well-structured process, considering your goals, priorities, and home condition to produce a holistic electrification plan.
Federal tax credits expire at the end of 2025, so now is the time to act.
Live online presentation begins at 7pm, followed by breakout sessions and Q&A through 8:30 pm.
